A former employee warned, "There are so many cons to working for Coretech I couldn't possibly list them all here, the negative reviews written are all very accurate, I'm truly surprised that this company is still in business, I'm not however at all surprised to hear that they have their own employees writing fake positive reviews, this is consistent with the level of integrity that I experienced working with them. If all of these reviews don't have you updating your resume yet, a word of warning, they are by far the most dishonest company I've ever worked for, they care only about making as much money off of you as they can and if that means lying to you about your commissions, or skimming money off of your check they will do it, I would start calculating every penny on your check stubs ... sad but very very true. Too many honest and reputable staffing company's out there to work for that actually value and reward the people that contribute to their success, what a concept right?"

"Try to screw you out of every penny. They pay terrible and lie to you. The ceo is rich for a reason."

Current Employee - Recruiter says

"The owner talks badly about his people and promises the world to his employees. There has been signifcant turnover with almost all of the staff not lasting even a year. Pretty certain any of the positive reviews on here have been written by management to appear to be a good company."

Current Employee - Recruiter says

"I feel compelled to write this review because management is asking us to write fake reviews or write reviews that will boost our Glassdoor rating. We have had meetings about the website and how it’s giving us a bad name. I am a currently working at CoreTech but I’m actively looking for new opportunities. Management tends to blame everyone else but themselves for the culture and why people continue to leave. The salary is very low; I have a hard time paying my rent and pretty much surviving in Calgary. We work on a base plus commission, in the initial interview the owner said “you could make 100k in your first year” this is so far from the truth. I have placed a lot of consultants and management says they’re happy with my work and I will be lucky to make 60k this year. It’s a very toxic and corrupt environment to work in. I don’t know why customers in Calgary keep choosing to work with us!!"

Current Employee - Technical Recruiter says

"- salary is quite low - micromanagement - false promises - too much gossip - high turnover"

Current Employee - Recruit says

"Where to start, management likes ot gossip about your personal life and gossip about you to other staff members, there's no such thing as confidentiality there. Opportunities are far and few, many false promises and salary is way below industry standard."

Former Contractor - Accounts Payable Specialist says

"Does not care about its contractors."

IT Analyst says

"No financial growth. Below average salaries. No bonus structure. Employees leave the company due to these reasons."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"-multiple managers with a tendency for micro-management -employees, consultants, and clients not treated with respect publicly and privately -compensation and benefits plan is below industry standard -promises made with little to no follow through -management would attempt to skirt around compensation regarding bonuses, established incentives, etc. -clear division between employees and management, did not foster a collaborative and positive team environment -little career advancement, training, improvement options -100% turnover multiple times in the company's history"

Former Employee - Recruiter says

"Where do I start? The commission structure is about 10 years behind it’s time. Most agencies offer 45k base plus 10% commission, not Coretech! You start at 40k base and work on a slide scale of 3,5,7 and max out at 10%. Since I have been with the company I saw 17 people come and go, it’s a very toxic work environment. As for consultants, CoreTech will do anything to make a few bucks, they don’t care about the contractors, average markup to a client is 30-40%, if you want to make money don’t work for CoreTech."

FORK LIFT OPERATOR (Former Employee) says

"You work long 12 hour shifts that rotate two weeks on nights and two weeks on days. required to be on call on your days off and not given any paid time off"

Field Service Technician (Contractor) says

"I was part of a team in which we fulfilled a point of sale contract for Rite Aid stores/pharmacy in the southeast district. I was responsible for moving server data to a remote server and installing a new server and retrieving the data back. I was responsible for setting all the IP addresses and naming convention. My specific job was to remove the old pharmacy computer equipment and setup the new pharmacy network. I would plan the layout and design while leading the telephony team to ensure position and tidiness of wire runs and drops.I would install and setup the router. Install the workstations that run to the router. Verify communication between the router and server. I would setup the biometric fingerprint analysis equipment. I setup network printers and verified print confirmation from every workstation. I ran all the cable for the workstations, registers and printers for the pharmacy. I would connect and configure the robot equipment for automatic pill distribution for the pharmacy; in fact I was a regional consultant for this configuration process. I was responsible for the placement of the access point in the ceiling for store scanners and other price check equipment. I also serviced kiosk equipment.contract workcontract work"
